1.9 Billion shillings was realized from the 2025 Buganda Kingdom Voluntary self help community initiative “OLUWALO LWAFWE” and the proceeds were used to start the Kingdom early education centers, contributed to the ECOP Buganda Kingdom studying project in Masaka and facilitation of Mutesa 1 hospital project.
This development has been declared by Buganda Kingdom Second Katikkiro and Minister of Finance Oweki Wagwa Nsibirwa while giving accountability for the money which was collected via oluwalo lwafwe in the year 2025 while at Bulange Mengo in Kampala.
He says that it’s impressing that Kabakas Subjects have endeavored to encourage the Kingdom to raise funds to develop and facilitate the Kingdom activities. He has called for trust and honesty to sustain this initiative and cited some of the projects for which this money has been used to develop citing the esterblishment of early education centers and the Kingdom contribution towards the ECOP Buganda Kingdom Staduim in Masaka.
Buganda Kingdom Minister in charge of Local governments Oweki Joseph Kawuki has hailed the visible contributions from children a sign that the future progress of this initiative is alive.
