The Makerere University Business school(MUBS) impact week 2026 ideation boot camp closed on Friday. The ideation camp was hosted by MUBS entrepreneurship in partnership with Thomas more foundation, Belgium.
MUBS Acting Deputy Principal , rachel mindra while closing the camp at MUBS annex Bugolobi campus, applauded the student innovators and international coaches for their dedication and collaboration.
She emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship are no longer optional for today’s graduates — they are essential.
She further noted that as MUBS moves into a Competence-Based Curriculum, initiatives like Impact Week provide a timely opportunity to begin the transition process — embedding practical, hands-on learning at the core of academic excellence.
“The Boot camp reflects MUBS’ strong commitment to tackling youth unemployment through innovation-driven enterprise development aligned with national and global development goals,” she said.
The boot camp that opened on 17 February to 21 February saw over 100 student innovators across 20 high-potential start-ups received intensive hands-on training in: • Business model refinement • Pitch deck development and Market validation.
The team also received training in Financial modelling and pricing, Empathy-driven solution design Selected from over 200 nationwide applications. ENDS.
