Strong engagement and meaningful interactions continue to define Uganda’s participation at the 8th Coffex İstanbul Expo 2026, as the country intensifies efforts to expand its footprint in the global coffee market.

Leading Uganda’s delegation at the international coffee exhibition is the State Minister for Agriculture, Hon. Fred Bwino Kyakulaga, accompanied by Uganda’s Ambassador to Türkiye, H.E. Nusura Tiperu, and Kenya’s Ambassador, H.E. Anthony Mwaniki Muchiri.

The high-level participation highlights Uganda’s growing influence in shaping global coffee conversations and strengthening regional cooperation within Africa’s coffee sector. It also reflects ongoing efforts to promote African coffee excellence, create new export opportunities, and position Uganda as a competitive player on the international market.

At the Expo, Ugandan coffee producers and exporters are engaging directly with international buyers, coffee professionals, investors, and industry stakeholders from different parts of the world. The interactions are expected to open new business partnerships, enhance trade relations, and increase market access for Uganda’s coffee products.

Officials noted that the Expo provides a strategic platform for showcasing the quality and uniqueness of Ugandan coffee while also exchanging knowledge on innovation, sustainability, and value addition within the coffee industry.

Uganda remains one of Africa’s leading coffee exporters, with the sector continuing to play a major role in employment creation, foreign exchange earnings, and household incomes for millions of farmers across the country.

The participation in Coffex İstanbul Expo 2026 is therefore seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen Uganda’s coffee diplomacy and deepen international partnerships aimed at boosting the country’s agricultural exports and economic transformation.
