
KAYUNGA. Ms Rosemary Ssenidde, the NRM secretariat Director for mobilisation has lashed out at critics of Moses Karangwa ,the senior presidential advisor for Special Duties who perished in a road crash on Sunday night to stop celebrating his death saying no one is totally clean.
Speaking during a Requiem Mass held for the deceased at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Kayunga Town in Kayunga District on Wednesday, Ms Sseninde noted that the deceased just like any other person was not an angel and was bound to make mistakes.
“In our culture its not morally right to celebrate ones death. I ask you to give late Karangwa’s family a chance to mourn him. If there is anyone who has never made a mistake to be the one to throw stones at Karangwa” she said, adding, “You should know that we are all going to die it is only that he has died before us”
The former Wakiso District woman MP said she came to know Karangwa during the 2021 LC 5 by-election during which he worked hard to ensure that the NRM candidate wins and he won.
Mr Amos Lugoloobi, the state minister for finance also echoed Ms Sseninde’s words urging all Ugandans to have discipline and stop celebrating people’s death.
‘You get surprised to hear someone in America who doesn’t even know Karangwa saying he was a bad man. We should be disciplined, he advised.
In a speech read by Ms Sseninde for Mr Todwong, the NRM secretary General, said the party had lost a great mobilisor describing Karangwa a death as shocking.
He sent a condolence of Shs10m.
Ms Jacklyn Birungi ,the daughter to the deceased said even with attacks on him by people , her father never got annoyed and kept on extending financial assistance to anyone who was in need.
He said the deceased had no permanent enemies and never kept grudges with anyone.
Mr Gustine Tumwine ,a young brother to the deceased said he had to annoy people especially those who never supported NRM.
