Government has been requested to involve Ugandan senior stakeholders in the planning process instead of entrusting it to the planning authority alone.
The appeal has been made by the Bishop of the Born Again faith in Kampala Herbert Buyondo while addressing a press conference at the Victory Covenant church Namungoona in Kampala.
Buyondo expressed his opinions while previewing the 2026-27 budget just passed he says that with effect from next year, government should amend the planning authority operations and make it pro-people and involve senior citizens and faith based institutions to work with the planning authority while planning for the nation because most of the decisions made are board room made in a making which done favor the grass root persons.
He has also requested the government to focus more on expanding roads and creating new ones and constructing better government schools and hospitals for visible social economic development, now that we are expecting to drill our oil which will elevate our local revenue.
