The Ugandan creative community is mourning the loss of Saad Byakuleka, popularly known as Saad Shots, a celebrated photographer whose vibrant work captured the essence of entertainment, wildlife, and sports. Saad Shots passed away on the evening of Friday, April 18, 2025, following a tragic accident.
The Uganda Police Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed the news via a post on X, stating:
“Yes, it is true. Two motorcycles were involved in a fatal accident at Bugonga Junction near the Air Base. Both riders were pronounced dead at the scene. Efforts are underway to have their bodies taken to Mulago City Mortuary.”
Saad Shots was renowned for his exceptional photography, collaborating with numerous local and international brands. His creativity and soft-spoken nature endeared him to many in the industry. Beyond his lens, Saad was passionate about riding sports bikes and traveling, pursuits that reflected his adventurous spirit.
