KAMPALA. Controversial singer Patrick Mulwana, aka Alien Skin, has been arrested in connection with the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer.
According to Mr Patrick Onyango Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Alien Skin was apprehended on Wednesday and is currently held at Katwe Police Station, where detectives are recording statement from him.
Namuwaya, a dancer formerly associated with the Fangone Forest group, died on September 22 at Mulago National Referral Hospital after allegedly being assaulted.
Police investigations linked the incident to members of Fangone Forest, with Alien Skin named among key suspects.
“The suspect has been arrested and his statement is being recorded. Further details will be provided as investigations progress,” Onyango said in a brief statement.
The arrest comes amid heightened investigations into the activities of the Fangone Forest Crew, which has been accused of hunting down assaulting former associates and other individuals in recent weeks.
Police say several suspects remain on the run.
