Apple’s iPhone 17 Series Debuts in Uganda with Fresh Designs and Pricing

Uganda has officially welcomed Apple’s iPhone 17 Series, with Sage Buyers unveiling the devices at a launch event in Kampala. The occasion attracted Apple fans, clients, and technology enthusiasts eager to experience the latest in the company’s smartphone line.

The line-up features four models, that is the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro, the larger Pro Max, and a new “iPhone Air” that replaces the traditional Plus version. The devices come with slimmer borders, high-refresh-rate displays, and improved energy efficiency through an adaptive screen that lowers power use when idle. Customers will also have a wider range of colours to choose from, including lavender, mist blue, black, white, and sage.

Prices in the Ugandan market begin at UGX 4.99 million for the iPhone 17 (256GB). The iPhone Air starts at UGX 5.99 million, while the iPhone 17 Pro is listed at UGX 7.49 million for the 256GB model. The Pro Max carries the highest price, with the 1TB version going for UGX 12.99 million.

Pre-orders open on September 12, with official availability starting on September 19, 2025.

The launch confirms Uganda as part of the first wave of African markets to access the iPhone 17 Series, reflecting the country’s growing appetite for premium smartphones and Apple’s continued expansion across the region.
