Kampala Archbishop, His Grace Paul Ssemwogerere, has warned against the continued misuse of the law and excessive force by security operatives, especially during the ongoing general elections.
The Archbishop made the remarks while delivering his Christmas message at Lubaga Cathedral in Kampala.
He emphasized that peace should not be determined by Parliament, offices, or uniforms, but noted that it remains the responsibility of authorities to ensure peace and security for all citizens.
His Grace further urged political candidates to remain calm and tolerant, avoid corrupt practices, and instead promote values that support the proper upbringing of children.
He also cautioned parents against the misuse of the internet and social media, while strongly criticizing the growing vulgarity within society.
