Centenary Bank Dominates DIAA 2025 With Standout Digital Wins

Centenary Bank has recorded one of its strongest performances in digital innovation after emerging among the biggest winners at this year’s Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA). The bank took home four major awards, reinforcing its rise as a leading institution in Uganda’s digital financial space.

At the ceremony held during the Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit in Kampala, the bank was honoured for Digital Brand of the Year, Digital Banking Excellence, Banking Innovation Excellence, and a Diamond Award for Community/MFI Banking Excellence. These recognitions highlight the bank’s progress in driving digital adoption across diverse customer segments.

Over the past year, Centenary Bank has expanded its digital footprint by enhancing its mobile and internet banking platforms, increasing the reach of its CenteAgents and investing in digital payment solutions. These upgrades have made everyday banking faster, more secure and more accessible for customers across the country.

Commenting on the win, Micheal Bulyerali, Centenary Bank’s Manager for Digital Marketing and Communications, said:
“This recognition is a powerful affirmation of our commitment to delivering simple, secure and transformative digital banking solutions.”

The Diamond Award for Community and Microfinance Banking Excellence particularly highlights the bank’s role in widening financial access for low income customers, village groups and small businesses that rely heavily on affordable digital services.

With four new awards added to its achievements, Centenary Bank heads into 2026 with increased momentum and heightened expectations as it continues to champion digital transformation and financial inclusion in Uganda.
