Centenary Bank hosts Muslims for Iftar Dinner

Hundreds of Muslims where hosted to Annual Iftar Dinner at hotel Africana by Centenary bank.

According to the banks statement issued on feb,25 “we were delighted to host the 2026 Centenary Bank Annual Iftar Dinner at Hotel Africana, honoring our Muslim clients,”.

Speaking at the Centenary Bank Annual Iftar Dinner Hajj Jamil Ssebalu, CEO of Namasuba College of Commerce, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Centenary Bank for its continued support, describing the partnership as a meaningful learning journey for the Muslim community.

He noted that the Bank’s gesture reflects values worth emulating and commended its positive impact, highlighting the achievements of Namasuba College of Commerce made possible through Centenary Bank’s support.

He encouraged customers to strengthen their relationship with the Bank, emphasizing the importance of mutual support, and called upon others to join Centenary Bank.

Representing the banks Managing Director, Dr. Grace Ssekakubo, CEO of Cente Tech, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to the Muslim community.

Celebrating 13 years of Ramadan engagement, he highlighted continued investment in Muslim-founded schools, SMEs, and financial literacy as key pillars in the mission to transform lives, as reaffirmed purpose to transform lives through inclusive and innovative financial solutions

Dr. Ssekakubo also highlighted that Centenary Bank has evolved into a holding company (Centenary Group) with multiple subsidiaries, including expansion into Malawi and plans for regional growth across East Africa.

“God willing this year, he said, will see new entities with the upcoming launches of Centenary Insurance and Centenary Investment Company, and the Group remains committed to corporate social responsibility, dedicating up to 2% of profits to health, education, environmental, and religious initiatives,” he said. ends
