The Democratic Front (DF) leadership has successfully conducted a training program for its candidates vying for Parliamentary seats, Local Council 5 chairperson positions, and city mayorships, alongside their campaign managers, focusing on vote protection techniques, electoral procedures, and comprehensive campaign strategies in anticipation of the forthcoming polls scheduled for January 15th.
This training session took place at the party’s headquarters in Namirembe.
Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, the Member of Parliament for Entebbe Municipality and the DF Whip in Parliament informed the media this was a well thought idea for fortifying the party as it gears up for the remaining political activities linked to the elections.
He reiterated the importance of equipping candidates with the necessary skills to safeguard the electoral process and engage effectively with constituents.
Kakembo urged the party members who participated in the training to communicate the essential strategies to their electoral agents to ensure the integrity of votes and prevent any potential tampering.
Walter Samuel Lubega Mukaku, the National Chairperson of the Democratic Front, reminded citizens of Uganda that the protection of each individual’s vote is a shared responsibility.
He urged them to stay in the designated areas as laid out by the electoral laws while ensuring they maintain peace.
