Ex- Myanzi Sub county chairperson dies in motor crash ,two others injured

MITYANA. The former chairperson of Myanzi Sub County ,Kassanda District Joseph Mary Nsubuga has perished in a motor crash .
The crash which happened at 2pm on Tuesday near Mumsa High School along Mubende – Kampala Road Mityana Municipality also left two other people injured .


It involved a car Registration Number UA 010AR Toyota Noah and a Bajaj Boxer Registration Number UDP 918K .
Police identified the deceased as Joseph Mary Nsubuga ,55 ,a teacher and former LCIII chairperson of Myanzi Sub county, and a resident of Myanzi Village in Kasanda district


The survivors are Rose Nabukalu , 25 , and Florence Namigade, 27 –both classroom teachers at Good Mummy Primary School Bukuya , Bukuya Town Council in Kasanda district, who were travelling in the ill-fated car


According to George Ssekitto ,an eye witness , when Nsubuga reached Mumsa High School he made abrupt U turn and the car which was coming from the same direction ( Mubende-Kampala road) knocked him .


“ It is the motorcycle rider who was in the wrong . He made an abrupt U-turn thus causing the crash ,” he said
Mr Racheal Kawala the Wamala Regional Police spokesperson preliminary findings indicate that the car also lost control and veered off the road and overturned hence injuring two passengers on board.


“The scene has been documented and examined . The body of the deceased has been taken to Mityana general hospital Mortuary for Postmortem examination ,” she aid
She said the survivors were rushed to Kambo Medical Centre at Naama Township for medical attention.
