Uganda’s leading companies and entrepreneurs were celebrated for their innovation, professionalism, and economic contribution at the prestigious People’s Choice Quality Awards, held at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
The annual event brought together captains of industry and government leaders to honour enterprises that continue to raise service standards and support national development.
Chief guest Betty Amongi, Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development applauded the private sector’s role in providing jobs and sustaining communities. She noted that meaningful work opportunities not only fuel economic growth but also reduce crime and strengthen social stability. “When people are meaningfully engaged in work, they are less likely to engage in crime, The government is proud of you,” she told the gathering.
Among the standout winners was Horeb Services Uganda Limited, recognized for its professionalism and customer focus. Managing Director Ezera Mugisha attributed the honour to teamwork and dedication. “This recognition is a result of the hard work we put in every day and the professionalism of our team. Being appreciated by clients is a serious achievement, and we don’t take it for granted,” he said.
Other firms walked away with top accolades, including Sums, ICEA LION Uganda, Ba Kayima, and Uganda Baati. The latter scooped awards for Best Excellence and Best Roofing Sheets Brand.
Now in its latest edition, the People’s Choice Quality Awards have cemented their place as one of the country’s most respected platforms for corporate recognition. By spotlighting businesses that consistently deliver value and impact, the awards inspire higher standards across sectors and encourage companies to keep driving Uganda’s economic transformation.
