Government has remitted over thirty Billion shillings to creative and cultural wealth power

Government has remitted over thirty Billion shillings to creative and cultural wealth power, including writers, music artists, designers among others to enable effective talents search in the country.

This has been revealed by the Minister of Gender Labor and Social development Hon Betty Amongi who was represented by the Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Development Public Relations officer Joshua Kyalimpa at the Uganda One Festival where all talents are to be exhibited at Kololo early January 26. at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala.

Kyalimpa says that over 30 billion shillings has been remitted to various domains of talents and creative wealth and this money is to assist to establish hubs, studios, printaries among other facilities to enable talent to flourish among young people.

The Principal Presidential Advisor Operation Wealth Operation Sylvia Awori says that this event is targeting all creative and talented persons to exhibit their creations for free at Kololo this is also to help people discover their potentials.

Ina related development Herbert Mugisha Uganda Performing Rights Society officer has emphasized that government has already agreed to ascent to the copy right law soon next year and the bill once put into law all creative must be paid for.
