Small and medium enterprises in Uganda are set to benefit from I&M Bank’s latest campaign designed to ease access to essential business assets. Launched under the banner “Tukikube ne I&M Bank,” the initiative is tailored to help entrepreneurs scale up their operations through affordable financing.
One of the standouts offers gives SMEs a chance to acquire brand-new Mitsubishi pickup trucks at a manageable monthly cost of UGX 3.2 million. The arrangement is supported through a partnership with Victoria Motors Limited, Mitsubishi’s authorised distributor in Uganda. A symbolic handover of the first vehicle to an SME at Victoria Motors’ Kampala showroom highlighted the campaign’s practical impact.
The programme goes beyond asset financing. Through a mix of financial literacy activities and on-the-ground outreach, I&M Bank is working to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and confidence to grow sustainably. Market activations, dubbed “market storms,” allow bank staff to meet business owners where they operate, while a podcast series features real-life stories and tips from SMEs navigating the Ugandan business landscape.
With trucks available in limited supply, I&M Bank has encouraged interested SMEs to take advantage of the campaign while it lasts. The initiative underlines the bank’s broader commitment to enabling enterprise resilience, reducing costs, and driving efficiency for Uganda’s business community.
