The imam of Katangawuzi Mosque in Nansana, Wakiso District, has encouraged Muslims to maintain the same level of devotion and good conduct they observe during the fasting period throughout the rest of their lives.
Speaking during Idd prayers on Friday, Imam Katangawuzi emphasized that the discipline practiced during Ramadan—marked by harmony in homes, reduced conflict, and avoidance of negative behaviors—should not end with the fasting period. He urged believers to carry these values forward in their daily lives.

He also appealed for greater unity within the Muslim community, stressing that divisions are unnecessary among people who share the same faith in one God.
On national matters, the imam advised Muslims to remain cooperative with the current government while continuing to hope for leadership that aligns with their aspirations.

Meanwhile, Wakiso Muslim District General Secretary Magudu Lubega highlighted the importance of peace, noting that stability within families and across the country is essential for development.
The Idd prayers at Katangawuzi Mosque were led by Ahamada Matovu.
