The Ministry of Works and Transport has confirmed that all motor vehicle related services are now fully operational across the country, following the successful restoration of critical systems.
In a statement issued by the ministry on X officials said the resumption covers services such as motor vehicle registration, inspection, licensing and other transport related transactions that are administered under the ministry’s mandate.
The ministry explained that the earlier disruptions were addressed through system stabilisation measures and coordination with relevant agencies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery going forward. Service centres have since resumed normal operations and are handling requests from motorists and transport operators.
To manage demand, the ministry said staff have been deployed at key service points and members of the public are encouraged to seek services through official offices and authorised channels. Motorists were also cautioned against using unlicensed middlemen, noting that all procedures can be completed through approved systems.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery through continued digitisation, transparency, and efficiency in the transport sector. They added that further system enhancements are planned to improve turnaround times and customer experience.
The full resumption of services is expected to ease backlogs and delays that had affected motorists, logistics operators and public transport providers.
