He emphasized that the election period is fleeting and should never be exploited to sow discord among the people of Masaka.
Furthermore, Mpuuga strongly condemned the alarming trend of abductions carried out by security forces, highlighting the recent case of Reverend Father Ssekabika from the Masaka Diocese who was abducted by security forces and kept incommunicado for over 10 days.
He asserted that such dehumanizing actions against citizens by security forces are unacceptable and will not be tolerated
Mpuuga also appealed to the voters to refrain from being driven by excitement while voting, and to choose capable leaders with the capacity to represent the great land of the Buddu region.
The Buddu Ssaza Chief, Owek Pokino Jude Muleke, warned of the likely dangers the Buddu region may face if voters base their decisions on excitement when choosing leaders in the next general election
