Just a day after Maj Gen Deus Sande mysteriously died ,the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed Brig Gen Jackson Pande Kajuba to replace him as the new commander of the UPDF Armoured Division, Kasijjagirwa in Masaka City .
Maj Sande died Wednesday , February 11, after suffering severe breathing complications.
Brig Gen Kajuba has been serving as the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division under Maj Gen Sande.
Colonel Wilson Bagonza Rwakanara from the Special Forces Command (SFC) has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division. The appointments take immediate effect, according to the UPDF acting Director of Public information Col Chris Magezi.
“We congratulate the General officers on the new appointments and wish them good luck in the execution of their duties,” Col Magezi said in a Thursday statement.
