Pay-TV provider MultiChoice Uganda has announced a free upgrade campaign called We got You that will allow eligible DStv and GOtv customers to access the next higher bouquet at no extra cost in a move aimed at rewarding loyalty and enhancing viewer experience.
The campaign which has just been unveiled applies to both active and reconnecting subscribers who pay for their current package during the promotional period. Once payment is confirmed customers are automatically upgraded to the next bouquet giving them access to more channels, expanded entertainment options and premium content for the duration of the offer.
According to the company, the free upgrade is designed to allow customers to enjoy richer content without the burden of additional costs at a time when households are increasingly seeking value for money in their entertainment choices.
Speaking on the campaign, Rinaldi Jamugisa, the PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to putting customers first.
“This free upgrade campaign is our way of appreciating our customers for choosing DStv and GOtv. We want them to start the year enjoying more content, more variety and more value at no additional cost,” Jamugisa said.
He added that the promotion allows subscribers to explore channels and programming they may not ordinarily access, including movies, sports, lifestyle and family entertainment helping households discover new viewing experiences.
Under the offer, customers will continue paying for their usual bouquet while temporarily enjoying the benefits of the higher package. At the end of the campaign period, subscriptions will automatically revert to the original paid bouquet unless customers choose to upgrade permanently.
MultiChoice Uganda noted that payments can be made through multiple channels, including mobile money, banking platforms, USSD codes, self service apps, authorised agents and customer care centres, making it easy for subscribers across the country to participate.
The campaign comes amid increased competition in the television and streaming market as service providers seek innovative ways to retain customers and respond to changing viewing habits. By offering free upgrades, MultiChoice Uganda aims to strengthen customer loyalty while showcasing the breadth of content available on its platforms.
