Mr Nzaire said the decision was based the spirit of harmonization and unity within the NRM party.
“ As a loyal cadre of the NRM, I firmly believe that personal ambition must always give way to the collective good of the Party and the Country. It is in this spirit that I have taken this step, confident that it best serves the stability and cohesion of our Party (NRM). I wish my colleagues who have remained in the race the very best, and I call upon all Ugandans to continue supporting and rallying behind the National Resistance Movement ,” he said
Mr Nzaire’s exit now gives the incumbent NRM vice –chairperson and ICT Minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi a clear pass to retain his position on CEC . Dr Baryomunsi is running on his record of government service and policy leadership.
