The Hajj pilgrimage to the two Holy Cities of Mecca and Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 2025 has successfully concluded.
This massive global gathering unites humanity across all races, skin tones, and languages
Since their arrival in the Kingdom a couple of weeks ago , pilgrims have remained deeply devoted in worship of Almighty Allah, adhering to the teachings of Islam as outlined in the Holy Koran and the authentic traditions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
All designated holy sites were filled with worshippers, day and night. Last night(Monday ), hundreds of thousands of pilgrims flocked to the majestic Holy Sanctuary of Mecca , entering through its more than 170 gates to perform the Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada) around the ancient House — the Ka‘bah — originally built for monotheistic worship by Prophets Ibrahim and his son Ismail (Peace Be Upon Them) thousands of years ago.
Over time, their descendants strayed from the path of divine guidance until Allah sent the promised Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), born and raised in Mecca . At the age of 40, he was divinely commissioned to revive and proclaim the forgotten message of Islam. Since then, centuries have passed, but the efforts of Prophet Muhammad, his noble companions, and those who followed in their footsteps continue to uphold and spread the pure monotheistic worship of the Creator.
“Special recognition goes to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its remarkable infrastructure developments—ranging from road networks and water supply to hygiene services and massive expansions of the holy sites—to accommodate the ever-growing number of Muslim faithful from across the world who seek to fulfill this sacred obligation,” Said Hajj Ashraf Zziwa , the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council spokesperson ,who is among the 2025 Ugandan pilgrims in Saudi Arabia
This year, over 1,000 Ugandans successfully participated in the pilgrimage. By Tuesday morning , many of them were scheduled to visit the Prophet Muhammad’s City—Madinah—before returning home.
