Lawyer Elias Nalukoola Luyimbaazi has been declared as the National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer for the forthcoming Kawempe North by election scheduled to take place next month.
Nalukoola emerged the winner after a tight race in which he defeated nine other individuals who had expressed interest to take the NUP flag for the above post.
“I hereby direct the mobilization secretary and the whole team to embark at preparations for the Kawempe by elections. We want to take the forthcoming elections by 90 percent. I thereby order you to look for that percentage, I don’t care how you will be getting them.” Robert Kyagulanyi ssentamu , NUP Party President while handing over the flag to Nalukoola at the party headquarters.
He thanked the candidates for having exhibited the highest degree of discipline and tolerance through our the whole process.
Nalukoola in his maiden speech, describe this opportunity as a challenge , which he is going to take over and ensure that he serves beyond expectations.
“Am not the best , but I am blessed that could be the reason why I have been selected as the best. I have been given a sword and I promise that I will come back with victory from the forthcoming elections.”
Nalukoola whole at NUP headquarters, has been congratulated by other people from the race, apart from Luwemba Lusswa who didn’t show up due to unclear reasons.
