“We will first meet the aspirants of Sembabule . We shall meet them so that we agree on what they should be doing,” he said.
“The NRM electoral commission is going to send out letters; we shall meet Sembabule aspirants on Wednesday in the afternoon at 4pm,” he added.

The meet to harmonize the campaign programme is scheduled for this Wednesday in NRM Secretariat in Kampala ,according to Dr Tanga.
The meeting with aspirants from Sembabule will happen just hours after the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting, which will take place at 10am on the same day(Wednesday) .
“So, no campaign should start in Sembabule until we agree on the modus operandi.” He added .
He also announced that all structure elections are also suspended until the conclusion of primaries of Members of Parliament scheduled for July 16.

The suspension of election activities in Sembabule comes following the death of 25-year-old Fred Ssembuusi, a supporter of Theodore Ssekikubo, the incumbent MP for the Lwemiyaga constituency.

Ssembuusi ,who was buried on Saturday was killed by a stray bullet fired by UPDF soldiers deployed at Ssekikubo’s campaign rally by his political rival, Brig. Emmanuel Rwashande.
Ssekikubo miraculously survived after a stray bullet hit his index finger and another person –a supporter of Brig Rwasande also got injured .
The developments compelled Ssekikuubo to call off his campaigns.

However , Brig.Rwashande has insisted that he will not suspend his campaign as ordered by Dr Tanga .
“Our campaigns cannot be stopped , we are continuing with our programme and we expect Mr Michael Nuwagire aka Toyota this week,” he said

Mr Toyota is a young brother of President Museveni and chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) ,a mobilisation outfit started by chief of defense forces and First Son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba .
