NSSF Marks 40 Years with Bold 40 Good Days Mission to Uplift Communities

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has launched a nationwide community support initiative dubbed the 40 Good Days campaign marking the start of its 40th anniversary celebrations with a strong focus on social impact.

The campaign which will run across all 21 NSSF branches aims to uplift vulnerable communities through health, education and social development interventions. As part of the launch, NSSF donated essential medical equipment to Boroboro Health Centre III and completed renovation works at Kiyunga Muslim Primary School, an effort intended to improve learning conditions for children.

Speaking during the launch, NSSF Acting Managing Director Gerald Paul Kasaato said the initiative reflects the fund’s long standing commitment to improving lives.
“This year, the fund celebrates 40 years of making lives better a journey marked by growth, service, and continued commitment to Uganda’s future,” he said.

Kasaato explained that the campaign will support a variety of interventions depending on community needs, including school renovations, donations to health centres, improved facilities for learners with disabilities, and digital literacy programs developed in collaboration with partner institutions.

NSSF says the 40 Good Days initiative is meant to go beyond traditional corporate social responsibility by directly strengthening public institutions that serve thousands of Ugandans. The fund emphasises that meaningful community engagement will remain a key pillar of its operations moving forward.

As the campaign rolls out across the country, communities are expected to benefit from improved health services, better school environments and increased access to crucial social support marking a milestone year for NSSF with interventions designed to reach those who need them most.
