ENTEBBE.The Proprietor Zion Estates ,Mr Godfrey Genza Godfrey who claims to have links with Chief of Defense Forces and First Son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has forcefully seized a disputed piece of land at Kagga Village ,Kajjansi Town Council ,Wakiso District .
The disputed land comprised in Busiro Block 484 Plot 2 at Kagga measuring approximately 488 acres pits Genza against the family of the late Yoana Mulo Mugwanya.
Michael Mulaggusi Mulo and Kabuusu Elvis Yobu who are the Administrators of the Estate of the Late Yoana Mulo Mugwanya complained to the Land Police Protection Unit [LPPU] in 2020 vide LPPU GEF 047/2020 against the Mr Genza ,but he has since then refused to appear at police despite several police summons issued to him .
The said case file is being investigated by LPPU investigator D/IP Aguta Gift .
“Because Mr Genza is highly connected ,he has adamantly refused to appear at police to record a statement since 2020 and is not arrested, what kind of impunity is that? ,” Kabuusu wondered during an interview on Friday
According to Kabuusu ,Genza has already subdivided part of the disputed land into plots where individual buyers have since erected posh houses .
Available records show that on August 11,2025, the Commandant Land Police Protection Unit [LPPU-CP Kusemererwa James wrote to the Regional Police Commander for Kampala Metropolitan Police-South [RPC KMP-South] ordering Mr Genza to stop grading of the said land and any unlawful evictions the area ,but all this fell on deaf ears .
This is what on Friday prompted Entebbe Police Leadership commanded by ASP Mubbale Ismael-FFU Commander to order Genza’s agents to immediately stop their illegal activities of mining and ferrying murram from the disputed land.
This time Genza’s agents complied and stopped their activities and removed their trucks and graders from the site.
However, soon after the officers from Entebbe Police Division left the site , the Genza’s agents with impunity resumed their illegal activities to the dismay of members of Late Yoana Mulo Mugwanya’s family .
On Saturday , August, 302025, again officers from Entebbe Police Division commanded by ASP Arinda Joshua-OC Operations and ASP Mubbale Ismeal-FFU Commander went back to the disputed land and ordered Genza’s workers to remove their machinery and this time they complied .It is remains to be seen how long this relief will last and whether late Yoana Mulo Mugwanya’s family we finally get justice
