Police officers and their families at Naguru Barracks are yet to recover from a horrific incident where a policeman shot dead his colleague .
The Thursday afternoon incident, happened at Naguru Barracks near the Police headquarters less than five kilometres from Kampala Central Business District .
According to Police spokesperson, Kituuma Rusoke, detectives have already recorded the incident as a suspected murder.
“ We have already identified the suspect as Police Constable Everest Natujuna.
He allegedly shot and killed on the spot his colleague Arthur Muhangi and fled the barracks .Our detectives are actively investigating that incident to establish the motive of the killing” he said in an interview on Friday
He, however, said the suspect abandoned the killer gun at the scene.
“After arresting him ,he will definitely be arraigned in court to face the law ,we advise all our policemen and women to always seek counselling or mediation in case they have life challenges rather than resorting to killing .”he added
