Police recover seven stolen vehicles in Kampala, four arrested

KAMPALA. Police in Kampala Metropolitan have recovered seven motor vehicles stolen from owners from various parts of Uganda.
The recovered vehicles include; UAP 036J: Isuzu (maroon) UBK 847F: Canter (white) UAY 997M: Noah (blue) UAK 210B: Corolla (grey) UBD 931L: Super Custom (grey) UAJ 673C: G Touring UBG 113J: Noah (silver).


In a statement on Monday , KMP spokesperson Patrick Onyango said four suspects connected to the theft of the vehicles have also been apprehended and arraigned in court .


“The Police at Nsangi Policing Division carried out a series of operations that led to the recovery of seven stolen motor vehicles.
“ In connection with these thefts, four suspects have appeared in court, facing charges of motor vehicle theft,” he said


Theft of vehicles has continued to be one of the most committed crime despite installation of CCTV cameras along major highways in the country . Some are recovered when they are still within the country while others are detected after crossing the borders .
