KAMPALA,.Police in Kampala are investigating an sauna explosion Buziga Country Resort in Makindye Division, Kampala.
The Sunday night incident which occurred around 10:00 PM, left several people who were inside the sauna injured.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire rescue teams responded swiftly to evacuate victims.
“No one died,” Owoyesigyire said, adding that the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Eyewitnesses reported a loud blast followed by smoke and flames inside the sauna area.
Preliminary reports suggest a possible heat system failure, but police have launched investigations to establish the exact cause.
“Our detectives are on ground will tell us what exactly happened ,” he added
