MUKONO. Police in Kampala Metropolitan area have started investigations into the gruesome killing of one of their own Assistant Superintendent of Police Emma Bagenda, who has been the Officer in Charge of Ntawo Police Station,Mukono Municipality .
Bagenda was shot dead while attempting to stop suspicious elements on a motorcycle on Sunday night. according to police sources.
“ Afande Bagenda and his team were attempting to stop individuals traveling on a boda boda at around 10:20pm when the suspects allegedly opened fire.The attack left the OC dead, one police constable injured, and a police-issued firearm stolen during the incident,” a police source said
Ms Racheal Kawala , the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson said detectives have launched investigations to identify and apprehend the assailants.
“ We ask members of the public to cooperate with our officers and give them information that can help arrest those behind this heinous act ,” she said
