St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges has once again solidified its reputation as a leader in education by ranking among the top 15 best schools in Wakiso District for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations. This outstanding achievement highlights the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, hard work, and strategic educational planning.
In an exclusive interview with the school’s Rector, Maria Justine Tulina, she attributed the impressive results to the school’s consistent efforts in ensuring that the syllabus is completed on time. She also highlighted the significant role of discussion groups, which have enabled students to engage deeply with their subjects, fostering a deeper understanding and excellent academic performance.
“We have been working tirelessly to ensure our students are well-prepared. Our priority is completing the syllabus ahead of time, giving students the opportunity for comprehensive revision and participation in discussion groups. This approach has proven highly effective in helping our students achieve remarkable results,” said Ms. Tulina.
One of the standout students from the 2024 UCE examinations is Escott Lawrence Mugalu, who achieved an outstanding performance with AAAAAAAAA (A9) aggregates from The Academy St. Lawrence Buddo. Mugalu’s achievement has been celebrated by the entire school community. In a statement, he expressed his gratitude for his success, crediting the wisdom that God granted him throughout his studies.
“I thank God for guiding me and for giving me the wisdom to understand the material,” Mugalu shared. “This achievement is not just mine; it is the result of collective effort, and I dedicate it to the teachers who worked tirelessly to ensure our success.”
Mugalu also took a moment to acknowledge the unwavering support he received from his “BIG Sister,” Maria Tulina. He credited her dedication to St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges for providing the encouragement and resources that played a pivotal role in his success.
“Our BIG sister has been a constant source of inspiration and support,” Mugalu said. “Her dedication to the development of St. Lawrence Schools has motivated us to strive for the best in all that we do.”
The Head Teacher of The Academy of St. Lawrence, Ms. Birungi Masitula, also encouraged parents to entrust the school with more children, as St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges continue to serve Uganda and the world by providing quality education that shapes future leaders.
