SEMBABULE. President Museveni ’s younger brother Michael Nuwagira aka Toyota. Toyota is the chairperson of Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) , a political mobilisation platform has issued a last warning to Lwemiyaga County legislator Theodore Ssekikubo to stop storming political functions where he is not invited.

These follows several attempts by Ssekikubo to block functions in Lwemiyaga organised by his arch political rival Brig(Rtd) Emmanuel Rwashande who is determined to oust him in next year’s General Elections .

The latest attempt was on Friday when Ssekikubo stormed Lwemiyaga Church of Uganda Primary School playground where Gen Rwashande launched his political bid ,saying the rally was illegal having been stopped by the Office of the President and the Sembabule District security committee .

“Let this be the last time he is storming our functions , next time if dare steps at any function where he is not invited he will see what will happen to him ,” he vowed while addressing a rally at Lwemiyaga COU P/S playground .
Toyota said Ssekikubo lost direction long time ago and wondered why electorates in Lwemiyaga still consider him as their legislator.

“Lwemiyaga is currently under capture and need to be liberated. We have identified Gen Rwashande as the best person to end Ssekikubo’s 25 grip on Lwemiyaga which has led to suffering of our people ,Ssekikubo has been a disgrace to his constituents and there is no development here to write home about ” he said .

Toyota and retired Maj Gen Phineas Kaitirima ,who hails from Sembabule were initially backing former junior minister for transport Joy Kafura Kabatsi to challenge Ssekikubo ,but it is not clear why all of a sudden chose to front Rwashande .

Speaking at the rally Gen. Rwashande said no one could stop his Friday function having sought clearance of the Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba . “ I am a freedom fighter and law abiding citizen and I thought clearance from the Inspector General of Police and it was granted ,” he said

He said those who attempted to block his rally relied on lies which were being circulated by Ssekikubo .
“How could they take the word of a person who doesn’t respect his constituents? He is grabbing people’s land and it is the reason we want to oust him in next general election ,”he said
He assured residents that if elected area MP he will convince government to issue land titles to all those currently occupying public ranches in the area .

“ Just know that I am here for change . Ssekikubo has been stealing your land, but for me I am going to ensure that you get perpetual ownership of the land you are currently occupying ,”he said
He also promised to buy land and expand Lwemiyaga Health Centre III to a fully-fledged hospital.

On Thursday, soldiers were deployed in Lwemiyaga Town to ensure the function goes on uninterruptedly.
He said Gen Rwashade’s group is driven by selfish motives and is bent on causing unnecessary tension in his constituency.
“ It is unfortunate that Lwemiyaga county has become a battlefield where some retired army officers are traversing the area, threatening to harm and kill both residents and leaders including me ,is that the reason why they went to the bush ?,” he asked

Ssekikubo said he had received intelligence information that the soldiers came from Kakiri Barracks in Wakiso District and wondered the why police and army could deployed at what he described an illegal assembly. ” If police and the Army can protect those violating the law , where will poor Ugandans go now, I ask President Museveni to interest himself in this as Commander in Chief because if nothing is done now ,the coming political season will be full of chaos ,not only in Lwemiyaga but the whole country ,”he said
