Take home virtuous deeds, Mufti Mubajje advises pilgrims

SAUDI ARABIA.

His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Mubajje, the Mufti of Uganda, has urged Ugandan pilgrims to uphold and practice the virtuous deeds they embraced during the Hajj rituals.
These include; enduring patience, punctuality in observing the five daily prayers, generosity, compassion across nationalities and races, gentleness, and kindness — all of which promote the spirit of brotherhood.

The Mufti’s message was conveyed to the pilgrims by Sheikh Ahmad Hamid Wandega, the Eastern Regional Assistant in the Office of the Mufti, during an address delivered on the morning of Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Wefadah Al Zahra Hotel, located on Salaam Street in the Prophet’s Holy City of Madina, Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in the day, Sheikh Ali Juma Shiwuyu, the UMSC Secretary for Hijja, briefed the pilgrims on the designated holy sites they were scheduled to visit around Madina during the midmorning hours.
Just before embarking on the guided tour of the majestic Prophet’s Mosque, pilgrims expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Hajj Department under Sheikh Shiwuyu for the excellent care and services provided throughout the pilgrimage. The vote of thanks was delivered on their behalf by Sheikh Uthuman Twaha, the Mufti’s Special Envoy to the Republic of South Sudan.

Following the address, the pilgrims enjoyed a guided tour of the Prophet’s Mosque, including a visit to the resting places of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), and his close companions, Sayyidina Abu Bakr As-Siddiq and Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them). They are also scheduled to tour other historical sites today Thursday, June 12, 2025 before turning home .
