Over 7000 lives are lost at this cost of air pollution in Kampala the authority is seeking to introduce an air pollution audinance to curb air pollution.
These were the statistics issued by Kampala Capital City Authority during a journalists orientation on air quality in Kampala Metropolitan area.
According to KCCA Supervisor Medical services Dr Alex Ndyabakiira, several activities have contributed to creation of emissions which lead to airpollution he cites car, bikes, Indurstries, domestic combations etc which lead to an detected loss of lives at the cost of increases cancer. He has encouraged the communities to conducted a self initiative to reduce air pollution in the Metropolitan area.
Most lives would not be lost but deaths are escarated due to the effects Air pollution attributed cases. He says that various individuals have cronical diseases sleep8ng in there bodies but they are escalated by eventional pollution.
The public and the Metropolitan area has been encouraged to embrass E-Vehicles, us gas than charcoal and firewood, develop audinancies to regulate air pollution among other remedies.
