KAMPALA, UGANDA — The Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) will lead a delegation of Ugandan businesses to the 5th Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum (TABEF), scheduled for October 16–17, 2025, at the Istanbul Convention Center, Türkiye.
Organized under the theme “Leveraging Türkiye-Africa Relations for Mutual Gain,” the high-level event is hosted by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye in collaboration with the African Union and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK).
Ms. Jenipher Timbitwire, UNCCI Head of Human Resource and Administration, said the Chamber has actively mobilized its members to participate in the strategic forum, which aims to deepen trade and investment ties between Uganda, Africa, and Türkiye.
“The Türkiye-Africa Forum provides a platform for Ugandan businesses to engage directly with global investors and explore new opportunities in key sectors such as construction, energy, agriculture, mining, textiles, automotive, and digital technologies,” Ms. Timbitwire said.
She emphasized that Uganda’s presence at the forum will enhance visibility for local enterprises, promote export growth, and foster international partnerships.
“We thank our members who have embraced this opportunity to showcase Uganda’s business potential. This engagement opens doors for technology transfer, industrial collaboration, and market access for Ugandan products,” she added.
The forum will include government-to-business (G2B) and business-to-business (B2B) meetings, thematic sessions, and sector-focused discussions, drawing participation from senior government officials, business leaders, and investors from Türkiye and across Africa.
“We are working closely with organizers to ensure all logistical needs are met and to position Uganda as a key partner in Türkiye-Africa economic cooperation,” Ms. Timbitwire said.
