
Uganda has officially confirmed its participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade after signing a participation agreement during a ceremony held in Belgrade, Serbia.
The agreement was signed by David Katungi of the Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA), who is serving as Uganda’s Section Commissioner for the global exhibition.

The ceremony was attended by Wilson Mbadi Mbasu, Uganda’s Minister of State for Trade and head of the country’s delegation. He emphasized that Expo 2027 will provide an important international platform for Uganda to showcase its cultural heritage, tourism attractions, and economic opportunities.
Also present at the signing were Elizabeth Paula Napeyok, Uganda’s Ambassador to Belgrade with residence in Rome, Cleopas Ndolere, Commissioner for External Trade at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, and Mathew Bagonza, a representative from PACEID.
Officials noted that Uganda’s participation in the international expo will allow the country to highlight its investment opportunities, promote trade, and present its rich cultural and natural resources to a global audience.
