KAMPALA — The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced the public display of candidate registers for the 2025 national exams, urging schools, parents, and students to verify candidate information between August 10th and October 10th, 2025.
According to UNEB Executive Director, Mr. Dan Odongo, the review process is essential to confirm the accuracy of candidates’ personal and academic details—including names, index numbers, birth dates, gender, photographs, and registered subjects.
“It is the duty of heads of centres, candidates, and parents to examine the registers and ensure that all data is correct,” Mr. Odongo said. “Let us use this time to verify that everything submitted is accurate before the examinations begin.”
To support this effort, UNEB has also introduced an SMS-based verification service. Parents and candidates can confirm registration details by texting “Reg.” followed by the candidate’s full index number to 6600.
The Board has encouraged the public to promptly report any errors to UNEB during the display period.
Mr. Odongo praised the education community for a smooth registration exercise and extended his best wishes to all candidates preparing for the exams.
