.Elections for ruling National Resistance Movement(NRM) flag bearers for district chairperson and mayor seats is underway across the country .
Polling stations were open by 10am and will be closed at 2pm .However , in some districts the exercise is about to start due to late delivery of election materials .
A total of 539 candidates are battling for the part flag for LCV ,lord mayor and city mayor positions . Seven candidates are already unopposed, 30 are eying the city mayor slots in various cities and 495 are contesting for LCV positions .
