KASSANDA . As Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate completes a second day canvassing for vote in Buganda Region , he has pledged to return all evictees to their land when elected president in the January polls.
Addressing one of his rallies in Kassanda District on Tuesday , Kyagulanyi said it was a pity that many Ugandans are landless in their own country .
“Whoever has lost land to land grabbers should just mark where that land is, I can assure you , you will get back your land in the first 100 days of my government ,” he said
At the same rally ,Kyagulanyi pledged to reduce the current Cabinet to just 20 ministers and also slash the size of Parliament .
“I promise to cut extravagant and non-essential public spending—starting with reducing the cabinet to a maximum of 20 ministers and also slashing the number of MPs, our MPs will no longer go to Parliament to earn hefty pay , but to make good laws benefiting the people ,”
“ Away from corruption , this area has gold and $2billion which is equivalent to Shs7trillion is collected from this natural resource annually ,but this benefits a few [officials ]in government .

We want to such resources to revamp this rotten road infrastructure I see here in Kassanda , improve schools and health centres .This is not rocket science ,it is possible ,vote for me and see meaningful development ,”
He wondered why people of Kassanda remain poor yet many are working in gold mines which fetch billions of shillings to the national coffers .
After campaigning in Kassanda ,Kyagulanyi moved to neigbouring Mubende District , however a few kilometres to the venue ,a combined force of security personnel blocked his convoy ,urging the entourage to use a village route .

This decision caused discomfort among the group prompting Kyagulanyi to jump out of his vehicle , walked through the barricade and proceeded to the venue .
