
The Democratic Front (DF) President, Rt. Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, has thrown his weight behind Nakuya Aidah, urging voters in Kampala Central Constituency to elect her as their MP on January 15, 2026. Mpuuga praised Nakuya’s youthfulness and energy, saying she has bigger dreams for the constituency compared to her opponents.
The rally, held in Mengo Kisenyi parish, drew a large and engaged crowd, with attendees showing remarkable attentiveness even in an area known for disruptions. Several DF leaders, including Haji Mubarak Kawooya, Counsel Grace Nakanwagi, Hon. Mukaaku Lubega, Hon. Kasibante Moses, Hon. Nakandi Winifred, Hon. Adelaide Salama, Hon. Nalubyayi Zahara Talida, and Hon. Nansubuga Fatima, attended, showcasing the party’s confidence in Nakuya’s candidacy.
Nakuya has outlined a community-focused agenda, emphasizing grassroots mobilization, environmental stewardship, and empowering residents. She promises to lead campaigns on proper garbage disposal and recycling, addressing the constituency’s pressing waste management challenges.
