Chinese people together with their Ugandan counterparts celebrated the Chinese new year, (spring festival) held recently in Kampala, Uganda.
As the 2026 Year of the Horse approaches, China Railway Construction Engineering (CRJE) Group Uganda Branch holds the “Heart United in Endeavor, Joyfully Celebrating the Spring Festival” a China- Cultural Experience and second Spring Festival Gala.
The gala theme “Heart United in Endeavor” throughout, permeated with the spirit of solidarity, endeavor and win-win cooperation.
Liu Qiang, general manager of CRJE (East Africa) Limited, said that the event aimed to carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture, enrich the cultural life of overseas employees and their families.
The venue was decorated with lanterns and streamers, brimming with a strong festive atmosphere. Red lanterns and Chinese knots adorned the site with joy and jubilation.
Along the cultural experience zone, themed around traditional Chinese festivals including the Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and Double Ninth Festival, the branch elaborately arranged calligraphy, tea art, traditional handicrafts, folk custom displays and other interactive experiences.
At the booths of paper-cutting, Chinese knotting and other traditional skills, Chinese and foreign guests immersed themselves in the intangible cultural heritage with great interest, experiencing the profoundness of Chinese culture through their own hands. End items.
