A prison warder at Kiboga Central Prisons has shot and killed two colleagues and a child at the barracks. Uganda Prisons spokesperson Frank Baine confirms the incident.
The deceased included Hope Catherine (deputy incharge of prisons),Bright Akishiri(3rd in command),Ms Sarh Ayebare(spouse of officer). According to prisons statement the incident happened at 1000hrs when suspect warder Aguyo moses shot the three deceaseds.
“Although the gun used in the shooting has been recovered, the suspect Warder Anguyo Moses remains at large and is considered dangerous. Anyone with valuable information regarding his whereabouts is urged to inform the Police,” according to Baine.
Kiboga RDC Mr Ssempala Kigozi said security is pursuing the prison staff who fled with a gun and is believed to be on the run . ENDS.
