
KAMPALA.
A total of 142,017 candidates who sat their final Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) are in high spirits after the Uganda National Examinations Board( Uneb) announced that it release the results tomorrow .
This comes after a delegation from Uneb led by the chairperson Prof. Celestino Obua and executive director Dan Odongo successfully brief Education Minister of Education , Ms Janet Museveni on the performance of the candidates on Tuesday afternoon .
The results of the exams done last November on Friday at the State House Lodge in Nakasero, 11am .
This will mark the final release of the national examination results for the year, following the earlier releases of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results in January and February.
A total of candidates registered to sit for the 2024 UACE exams.
Sulaiman Nyanzi ,a candidate who sat his exams at Madinah Islamic SS,Nsangi said he is eager to see his results .
“ I am eager to see how I performed , I did my best during exams and left everything to God . I have been praying and I am confident that Iam among those who will join university,” a visibly excited Nyanzi said in an interview on Thursday morning
With senior six leavers having been home since December 2024, they are now expected to join higher institutions of learning, including universities for those pursuing bachelor’s programmes or technology institutions for those seeking diploma courses.
To qualify for entry into these institutions, candidates must have attained the Uneb certificate with at least two principal passes, as required for admission.
