Katikkiro Mayiga explains failure to achieve Federo for Buganda Kingdom in 13 years

The Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has defended his failure to deliver a federal system saying that federalisation is a procedural and legal matter which has to be handled with care.

He made this defence while delivering his message to mark13 years as the Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom at his official residence Butikkiro Mengo in Kampala.

He says that while as he has made strides towards the redevelopment of the Kingdom he has worked as a team with several others, he says that he was challenged by the media for his failure to deliver a federal system and he defended his failure to deliver

er a federal system saying that it’s a legal and procedural matter but promised to deliver it with time. He says that other challenging issues which have still stalled are the completion of Mengo Palace and the redevelopment of Kabaka’s lake.
Speaking as the Keynote speaker the Archie Bishop of the Adventists Church of Uganda Samuel Kajoba has hailed Katikkiro’s effort to cause political, social, religious and tribal unity in the Kingdom which he regards to being a major pillar for his perfect administration.

In a related development Bishop Kajoba has also appreciated his stance to bend law before Kabaka’s subjects as a sign of leadership.
