Kampala Lord Mayor Ssalongo Ronald Balimwezo has called for humanity, sanity, and the implementation of a people-centered strategy among councilors in the newly sworn-in cohort.
Eng. Balimwezo made the remarks while addressing the fourth Authority Council, where he unveiled his executive secretaries and appointed Faridah Nakabugo as Deputy Lord Mayor.

Balimwezo said he was strategic in making the appointments, noting that his passion is to serve the people. He urged councilors to desist from hypocrisy and selfish interests and instead focus on delivering services to the public.
Meanwhile, NRM councilors welcomed the appointments and called upon the Lord Mayor to serve diligently without partisanship, urging him to prioritize the interests of all residents above politics.
Speaking to Radio Simba, the newly appointed Deputy Lord Mayor, Faridah Nakabugo, pledged to meet the expectations of the people. She said her focus will be on improving the welfare of grassroots workers and praised the Lord Mayor for entrusting her with the position.
