A city evangelist and the Overseer of the Born Again faith in Kampala Bishop Herbert Buyondo has urged the ministerial vetting committee to act patriotic and approve the best for the new cabinet.
This follows ministerial appointments made by the President last week were sections of the public expressed doubt in some of the appointed persons being in possation of dual citizenry.
Buyondo says that it’s unconstitutional to appoint a person into senstive leadership positions unless thet denounce either. He says a person possessing dual citizenry might not be fully accountable to the country.
He has supported the Ministry of Finance zpermanent Secretary Ramathan Goobi for curtailing the government facilitation of national celebrations saying that too much money is wasted in these functions but also advised that government needs to change the procurement process because its onother venture through which public resources are wasted.
In a related development, Buyondo cries foul in the new appointments, citing that his race Abaluuli and the Born Agains were sidlined and denied allocation on cabinet.
