KAMPALA: Senior Presidential Advisor in the Office of the National Chairman, Hajat Hadija Namyalo, has said it would be difficult to imagine a term of President Yoweri Museveni without First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni, describing such a scenario as “taboo.”

Namyalo made the remarks as National Coordinators of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) joined an interreligious prayer service seeking the recovery of the First Lady.

The service was held at the Office of the National Chairman at Kyambogo in Kampala, bringing together religious leaders and ONC officials who prayed for the First Lady’s health and the wellbeing of the entire First Family.

The main celebrant, Pastor Aloysius Bujingo of House of Prayer Ministries International, criticised people he said had celebrated reports about the First Lady’s health condition.

Bujingo urged the public to refrain from wishing ill health on others and prayed for God’s protection over the First Family, including protection from what he described as witchcraft and other challenges.

On the Muslim side, Deputy Mufti Sheikh Ali Waiswa prayed for God to restore good health to the First Lady and protect the entire First Family.

Namyalo also prayed for the First Lady’s recovery, while asking God to address challenges facing the country, including poverty, corruption and what she described as witchcraft.

She further called for divine intervention to address challenges affecting the education sector.

Meanwhile, Pastor Bujingo also prayed for victims affected by the city trade order, asking God to provide them with new employment opportunities and help them recover from the economic hardships caused by the disruption to their businesses.
