
MTN Uganda has partnered with Turkish Airlines to unveil a year-long campaign dubbed “Fly Prestige with Turkish Airlines”, giving loyal customers a chance to win free round-trip tickets to destinations worldwide.
The initiative, launched at MTN Uganda Headquarters end of last week, targets members of MTN’s exclusive loyalty program, MTN Prestige. It seeks to recognize and reward high-value customers with premium lifestyle benefits that go beyond telecom services.
“MTN Prestige is about creating extraordinary moments for our customers. Together with Turkish Airlines, we are opening doors to the world through travel,” said Sylvia Elsheikh, MTN Uganda’s Chief Marketing Officer.
The promotion is open to MTN prepaid customers aged 18 and above on the Prestige profile. Eligible customers must have maintained an active subscription for at least three months. Entry is automatic upon purchasing any Prestige Combo bundle whether data, voice, or custom via the My MTN App or USSD code.
Each month, one lucky customer will win a round-trip economy ticket to any Turkish Airlines destination, complete with airfare and taxes. However, winners will cater for their own visas, accommodation, meals, travel insurance, and airport transfers. Tickets are valid for one year, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Ali Ozdemir, Turkish Airlines’ Country Manager for Uganda, expressed delight in the partnership, emphasizing the airline’s vast global network spanning 353 destinations in 131 countries.
“We are excited to offer MTN Prestige customers the opportunity to experience world-class travel and discover new destinations,” he said.
The collaboration is aligned with MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on enriching lives through digital and lifestyle services. Turkish Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Mehmet Fatih, hailed the campaign as a symbol of strengthened ties between Uganda and Turkey.
“This partnership is more than just a promotion. It represents connectivity, trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Africa and the rest of the world,” the Ambassador noted.
The Fly Prestige campaign will run for 12 months, with MTN Uganda directly contacting winners each month. If a selected customer fails to respond within three working days, the prize will be awarded to another participant.
By blending MTN’s customer-first approach with Turkish Airlines’ global reach, the initiative promises not only unforgettable travel experiences but also a celebration of loyalty and innovation.
