Calabash Speke Apartments will hold a charity Pilates session on October 24, 2026, to support breast cancer awareness and raise funds for people affected by the disease.

The event, organised under the Pink October campaign, will combine physical exercise with fundraising efforts, with all proceeds earmarked for the Uganda Cancer Society.

The session is scheduled to begin at 7:30am at Calabash Speke Apartments. Participants will be required to contribute a minimum of Shs50,000 to take part.

Organisers said the initiative seeks to promote healthy lifestyles while mobilising public support for breast cancer awareness and care. They also hope the gathering will provide an opportunity for people to show solidarity with patients and families affected by the disease.

They noted that Pink October should go beyond symbolic gestures, urging the public to participate in practical initiatives that support the breast cancer cause.

Participants will receive refreshments and goodies during the event.

Members of the public have been invited to join the session and contribute towards the fundraising drive benefiting the Uganda Cancer Society.
